Aegis plotting/development thoughts 2019

First and most importantly, a big thank you to everyone who has gotten involved with Aegis Force since the team debuted this summer! I’m very thrilled with how many folks have shown interest in joining or plotting with this strange little group, and with the plot and CR that has grown from our characters’ adventures.

If you have any ideas for new stuff you’d like to see involving Aegis in 2019 or things you'd like to do with your character, or changes you’d like to see in how the team is run, let me know here!

Current plans for Aegis include a fresh team mingle log in January or February. I already know what we’re doing for a training sim and that a reporter (hi Iris!) will be dropping by to interview team members, but beyond that am open to ideas for prompts!

We also have a couple ongoing plotlines, notably that *Sabriel* is trying to get magic types together to craft an Atropos-binding spell, and that *Darin* has volunteered to be a test dummy for that spell since he has an Archfiend in his head that needs to be dealt with.

So yeah! That will get played out next year!

I’m also considering a possible mission to Tokyo to investigate potential OTO influence in Japan, to follow up on information from Mars

I’d also like to call attention to the Casefile post (https://aegisforce.dreamwidth.org/1027.html) and Contact post (https://aegisforce.dreamwidth.org/743.html). These posts were intended to be important to Aegis plotting and CR-building when the team was being made, but have so far seen relatively little action. Is there a way they could be improved? Or should they be set on a path to retirement?

Beyond that, I’m planning to propose Aegis Phase II to the mods to evolve the team from a proverbial Charmander to Charmeleon, so this is a great time to propose changes and new features

Current changes I’m planning: -introducing NPC support agents around the base, drawn from friendly natives, with the option for you to create your own and add them to the team

-Turning Panoply station into an unmanned listening post, since we seem to be done with space stuff for now

-Adding a Commander’s Office and a recreation room (foosball! Ping pong! Team movie nights!) to the HQ’s layout

-Expanding Aegis’ authority to operate more freely beyond Maurtia Falls and maybe engage with mundane crimes more

-Maybe exploring different formatting for our info pages, though goodness knows I’ll break the HTML within the first five minutes

-Should the fifteen-member roster cap be raised? I feel the team is as big as I can manage right now, but it’s still a shame to potentially turn people away
